On 22nd February, the first Link Academy Writers’ Day was held at Landscove Schoolhouse. Children from the Totnes and Newton & Teign hubs came together with the sole aim of immersing themselves in writing for the day. After a chance to get to know each other with a fun ice-breaker, we all went off for [...]

What a wonderful day we all had celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday. We all wore our finest clothes and looked very regal. The school hall looked colourful with the fine array of cakes beautifully decorated by the children. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this day a very special occasion for us all.
Well done to all our Year 6 children who have put in so much hard work during the run up to SATs. We are so proud of the positive and mature attitude they showed in taking these tests and what a wonderful way to finish the week with forest school in the woods.
On Tuesday 12th April, Butterflies headed to South Devon College for a Construction Workshop. The children experienced many hands-on activities: painting, carpentry/wood-work, plumbing, plastering, building and even finding the best way to drop an egg from a height!
Music is Fun! We were totally inspired by our music visitor this week and all classes enjoyed trying out new instruments and putting their musical skills to the test by creating their own short pieces of music. We look forward to continuing this with the children and supporting our budding musicians here at Stoke Gabriel.
